A pair of surgical gloves usually works for me. Gives you amazing grip, and leaves no fingerprints.

Good for you Roger Smile sometimes taking a "cool-off" break and coming back later things go better. Cecil came up with surgical gloves, a great idea! My first try on a stubborn case-back usually includes wiping it down with alcohol and using one of the rubber-cup style case-openers. There are also "sticky-ball" openers advertised that are supposed to work well. Here are some additional suggestions if the going is really tough...

I have a suede watch pouch which a local shoemaker made for me, rough side out smooth side in. I works amazingly well for unscrewing bezels and back covers without finger prints.
