Bruce ByrdWaltham Model 1892's - Were All RR Approved?
Where there any model 1892's that were not R/R approved? I have different models (845, Vanguard, etc) and jewel counts and was curious..

Kevin MoodieI do not think the model 1892 P.S. Bartlett or Royal grades were. I believe the Bartlett was only adjusted to temperature.

David AbbeBruce some model 1892 named movements were adjusted to 3 (or fewer) positions. The ones I know of (Roy Ehrhardt's book) including;
Appleton Tracy & Co.
Riverside (not marked 5 position)
"Railroader" (3 positions)
"Non-Magnetic" (15J & 17J)
PS Bartlett (not marked)

Claude Griffiththe ones adjusted to 3 positions would have been "gap" RR units. There were many large RR systems that would allowed a3p up into the 20's. Most in the mid to later 1890's were a3p then as the move to a universal guaranteed to be accepted (5 positions)by any railroad came about after the turn of the century in the years close to 1910 and later.
