Norman BlissMy Brimfield treasures
Here are two watches I got at the Brimfield Antiques show, and are among reasons why I'm not getting the
Self-Winding clock discussed here yet.
Here is a 2974B from 1944. It's in great shape, but at some point someone replaced the (I assume worn out) Govt. contract engraved back with another bezel, making a neat display case.

Norman Blissand the movement. Keeps great time, but has just a little corrosion on the winding wheels. Both crystals are scratched and need to be replaced. Neat watch based on the 992B model, with a hack feature.

Norman BlissAnd the other. A Girard-Perregaux Shell Oil skeletonized watch. These were
discussed here. Good shape, but really needs a cleaning. Wonder if it ever had an oil change

Norman BlissAnd it's back. I haven't removed the bezels yet.

Sheila GilbertNorman,
Sharp Hamilton, love that shiny damaskeening.
Your skeletonized Girard is so neet. I always wanted one of these. Only problem is, If I had one, I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes off of it, I can look at a movement for days......can you immagine what I would do with one of those?!!!
Nice finds for sure.
