Roger StephensElgin 16s.Grade 135 Hunter
Got this some time ago 15jewel gilt movt.
s/n 7551742=1899 PW/LS.My research shows only 6,000 of this grade made.Mine being in the last
run of 1,000.Altough,not a exceptional looking
movt. The case is very nice.A Wadsworth 25yr.case,
which appears to be original to this movt.Hunter
cases are getting hard to find.As a matter of fact, nice gf cases of any kind are hard to find.I
suppose thanks to the "Gold rush".Anyway, thought
I would share it.
Regards
Roger

David AbbeGreat example of the period! Case looks hardly used at all. Maybe it was used for "Sunday goin to meetin" time only!

Roger StephensThanks everyone. It runs very well.I do believe it had a sheltered and pampered life.Like David said
it probably went to church on Sunday tucked gently
in someones vest pocket>
