Howard or Assman
Many years ago I had a watch with only ONE banking pin...could that have been a Howard or Assman pocket watch?

I was never one for keeping records of anything that went through my hands.

But I'm positive the watch had only one banking pin.

Dan,

It could of been either a Lange or Assmann.. Lange gets the design credit for the 1 pin.. Assmann worked for Lange early on..before going out on his own.. Howard also used this design for a while on some early series watches..from the 1860's

I believe Howard took the idea from the Glashutte watchmakers, so it could have been Howard, Assman, or Lange, etc.
