Harry J. Hyaduck Sr.Hamilton... which dial signature?
Ok to the best of my knowledge Hamilton switched from the "Hamilton Watch Co." signature to the "Hamilton" signature around 1905. I have a Hamilton 946 s/n 438573 which according to the Gelson list was made in 1905. It has a "Hamilton Watch Co." dial which faces up well but I have "Hamilton" dial that I want to replace it with.
It is my understanding that Hamilton used both dials in 1905 until the old Hamilton Watch Co. dials were used up.
Anyone have an opinion on this? I like the Hamilton dial better on this watch.
Thanks,
Harry

Bruce ByrdHarry, are you going to resell it? If not, I'd put the dial you like on it (unless you have to have it correct) IMHO.

Harry J. Hyaduck Sr.Thanks Bruce. I am not planning on selling it. Maybe down the road someday but not now. I have the dial on it I like now. The only difference is one is Hamilton Watch Co. and one is Hamilton. I don't have to have it correct but it would be nice and I would like to know in case I want to sell it some day.

Harry J. Hyaduck Sr.You know Ed your memory is great. I thought I had seen it before but I could not find it when I did a search.
I should have checked MY OWN POST. Thanks again Ed for all your help AGAIN. I got in now (I hope).
