Eric UnseltThree of a kind - finally
Wind indicators sorta fascinate me, because they came with a fuel gage for people who forgot to wind their watches.
With that in mind, I've been looking for one 16-size from the three American companies that made them: Elgin, Waltham, and Rockford. I've gotten every one of them from various 185 members, so I thought I'd show them off

Eugene BuffardBeautiful Watches I like the Rockford the best. Of coarse it is the most expensive. And hardest to find.

Mary Ann ScottBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful! That is quite a collection of wind indicators that I know you are proud of. And the movements are just about flawless. Those plates just glow. And not a single half head screw to be found!

Mike LaForestEU,
Worthy watches all - to say the least! Nothing presents a classic watch like a minty, polished, gold case! I imagine we'll be seeing these on the IHC auction pages sometime next year, huh? Keep your powder dry...

Claude GriffithAll three are very nice looking watches. I was lucky enough to get an Elgin 506 WI off of ebay at a decent price, mine is in a mainliner style JBoss case while in great condtion looks spartan compared to yours. I would have to give it a toss-up between the BWR (case eye candy) and the Rockford (movement eye candy). Rockford designers must have worked overtime to dream up the DMK effects they put on their better movments.

Larry CurtisI too have 3 indicators, but alas, mine are all Waltham! Great collection and super photos. Thanks for sharing them with us. I collect 16s RR grade specifically and hope to include all up and down models someday.
