Illinois Gr. 94
Can anyone tell me exactly what I have here ?
I just bought it and can not seem to find anything particular on it, and am not sure what I am reading in the Blue book.
I found one other on another forum, but there was nothing there either.
Gr. 94 Serial # 1949954 15j OF LS. ca: 1907
Thanks for any info, and is it a collectable watch ?
Bill

Bill,

That is a neat old dial there... Since the center wheel is not jeweled, you are probably spot on w/ the 15j count

Only one run of 500??? Holy smoke!!!

Jon. What I was wondering, as I had looked it up in the Blue Book, was that there was only 1 run of 500, but it also stated that this Grade had not ever been seen, and they thought it might not exist. I was wondering if that is a misprint or have some been found since the printing of the Bible, or are my eyes failing me.

Bill-
The CD shows only one run of 500, and has a photo of a different serial in the same run from 1907. Stated to be Model 6, Grade 94, 15J, OF/LS.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Bob

In detail regarding Bob's comment, the CD shows a picture of s/n 1949891. As the CD was assembled about 25 years after the Blue Book, it "updates" the Blue Book as to the existence of at least ONE of these. Now you have found at least ONE MORE !

Is it collectible (a two or three star watch)? . . . YESSSS! The dial is correct to the CD description suggesting this may have been a Canada market run of movements all noted as adjusted for Temp and Isochronism. A Canadian-Made 18s Case could complete the "effect" of being a Canadian (carry only) watch.

Dave,
Yes that sn 1949891 is the one that I had heard of previously.
Funny you should mention the Cdn. connection as mine is in a Cdn Banner case.
Thanks for the info. If nothing else a great scarce conversation piece.
