Thoughts on these RR Patches
I bought this lot at an auction a few nights ago. What do you think about them. Are they reproductions ? Real ? I have no Idea. I have bought a few over the years.

Mainly ones that are local to St Louis Area.

They look real to me Gene. I bought several large lots of these out of an estate of an Ohio seamstress who used to sew these patches onto uniforms for the railroads. My patches look just like these.

Hello Eugene:

I think these were marketed for model railroaders, there are many fallen flags there (railroads out of business.) Many of these rail enthusiasts have vests, and striped engineer hats that they sew these to, and they wear them to their club meetings, and shows. A nice collection to say the least. Here is a photo of a railroad modeler, he has a Great Northern, and a couple of Santa Fe's, probably many more on his back, I see the Union Pacific on the vest of another model railroader beside him.
