I picked up this 21j Getty Sangamo the other day ...

Nice watch Eric (and pictures too of course). I have seen these hands on many Santa Fe Specials and many private labeled Getty Movements as well, but I cannot recall seeing them on the Sangamo's.
I looked thru the many books I have and saw no pictures or advertisements of a Sangamo with those style hands. My feeling is that they probaly would have been available on it though as it sports the Getty movement.
After searching the web I did find 3 others with the same style hands and all were Getty model Sangamo's,
So it is plausable I guess.

Thanks, Ray. I've got those same hands on an Illinois 5th Ave hunter, but I figured since the Sangamo was a "higher-grade" watch it should have the purple spade/poker hands.
