Good afternoon Smile
My Father in Law asked ne to have a look at his old Viena timepiece, a few weeks ago.
A good 10 years ago my brother in law's children had a little look at the clock and surprisingly it stopped working, my brother in law then decided to 'mend' and it has been on top of a cupboard collecting dust and woodworm since!
The case had warped terribly and the movement was filthy.
I have restored case as best as possible, looks tidy and clean but still badlly warped unable to straighten, would have broken into pieces! Frown
Movement has been cleaned, restrung and works well before connecting to pendulum.
When I attach to the pendulum runs only for around 10 mins? Mad
Any ideas? Roll Eyes
Your assistance will be greatly received.
Looking forward to replacing Vienna and returning my 'Jerome' to its rightful place.
Timely regards.
Roy.
