Soundproof display case for a clock?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this message, but I was wondering if anyone has ever come across, or made, a display case to take a clock, that would mute the ticking sound?

Although I love the sounds of ticking clocks, unfortunately they drive my wife insane. So I was hoping to either make or possibly buy a soundproof enclosure/display case, to put the running clock in, that would hide the ticking sound.

Can anyone help?

Have you thought about a quartz movement to replace the mechanical?
