Repairing a Bunn 23 Sixty Marked Dial "Click" to Login or Register
posted
This watch fetched $583.00 so I am thinking that the double sunk pieces can be unsoldered and a repaired, valuable resurrected marked dial goes back to market? This was a good opportunity for someone who could work with dials to take them apart, fix and replace the outer portion.

Why else would the bids go up to 600 ish?

RARE 23 JEWEL ILLINOIS BUNN SPECIAL IN A MODEL 28 10K GOLD FILLED CASE. 60 HR DIAL 23 JEWELL MARKED CASE. THE DIAL HAS SOME DAMAGE INBETWEEN THE 11 & 12 HOUR MARKS AS PICTURED. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL DENT ON THE BACK OF THE CASE ALSO PICTURED. WATCH HAS BEEN RUNNING AND KEEPING TIME FOR THE PAST 5 HOURS. FRESH OUT OF AN ESTATE, HAS BEEN SITTING FOR YEARS AND WILL NEED CLEANED AND SERVICED. OVERALL A NICE USED WATCH! SERIAL NUMBER IS 518238 WHICH I BELIEVE MAKES IT A 1928.
