1776-1876 Centennial Watch ?
Gentlemen:

I was going through a drawer labeled " to be looked at in future" and came across this time piece. I don't know anything about it but was hoping that maybe you can give me more info. The thing that caught my attention was the case labeling of 1776-1876 centennial.
It is approx 14 size, pin set, appears to be 11 jewels. Also it is stem or key wind. I have other photos for any one interested.

Thanks
Doug

Douglas, Your watch movement was made by Longines from about 1870-85.

Cooksey, Thank you very much for the info. I was wondering if this should be restored or be auctioned off on EBay.
I am getting rid of watches that I have procured as part of batches that I have purchased over the years. These always seem to be difficult decisions to make.

The case was made by Cross & Beguelin. They sold Swiss and American watches and were located on Maiden Lane in NY. see the link for your Trademark, and related information.

Thanks very much for the info. Cooksey Shugart gave me the movement information and I now have an idea of what this watch is. I will begin an investigation of this watch for historical value.
Thank you very much for assisting me in my quest.
